WebDicty is a free translator via the Internet in English, Spanish, French, Italian and Catalan.

As you may or may not have been able to work out by now just from the name of this application, WebDicty is a free translator via the Internet in English, Spanish, French, Italian, Basque, Portuguese, Dutch and Catalan.

WebDicty includes definitions of the words you translate if you wish, via the most prestigious dictionaries (WordReference, Cambridge, Merriam Webster, Vox, Garzanti, Hachette, Gran Diccionari de la Llengua Catalana, Wahrig...). WebDicty does not have a list of words or a local dictionary. Instead, it relies on the freely available dictionaries on the web.

The WebDicty program stays minimized on the taskbar until you push Alt+F10, and then it automatically appears, ready to translate.

This WebDicty program is basically a browser of preset pages (the dictionaries) with internal filters to remove the unwanted information. It is also very easy to download, install and then use, through its friendly and intuitive user interface. You don't need any technical experience at all to get the most out of it.
